My dad gave Brighton his 1st plum yesterday. He looked at it for a short while, and then dove right in! He loved it, and it was hilarious to see him eat it and make a mess.
Went to walk the house today with both Alan and Dave, who are our builders. Dry wall is completed inside. They told me to pick out interior and exterior paint colors ASAP. The cabinets will come soon, then the paint, trim and floor. They say we will be in for sure by the end of August. They have started doing the stone work on the exterior!

Weekend fun
Just a few pics from the weekend. Billie and Ayden came over and hung out. He and Jameson played good together and I think he had fun with the older guys as well. Lacey, Mickey, Jason and I took the boat to a new restaurant on Lake Norman.
Since last weekend Michael has started crawling! Today in fact. Yay!!

Billie's Wedding Venue
My friend Billie, who I have been friends with forever is getting married in April. Lacey and I are 2 of her bridesmaids. Sunday we went to the venue, The Brawley House in Mooresville for a food tasting with Billie, her mom Charlene, sister Sarah and Alecia, who is also in the wedding. We loved this beautiful and historic venue. We all got to give her our ideas and opinions as the place has several options for ceremony spots. It was so nice to see the place and envision it all. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of Billie, but she was the only one who remembered to bring a camera and was not taking pictures of herself! Congratulations Billie and Todd!

Martiiiiiiiiin! and Fathers Day
Some of you may not know this, and some know all to well that Jason LOVES Martin Lawrence. He can watch reruns of Martin's show all day long if you let him. I found out that Martin was coming to Columbia to do a stand up routine show so I bought us tickets. I also booked us a room at The Inn at Clausen's in downtown Columbia for the night. The whole thing was a big surprise for Jason's father's day gift. It was last Friday night, of Fathers Day weekend. He was VERY surprised and excited when we got there although the suspense almost killed him. We had a fun night at the show and a nice getaway with each other. Jason deserved this as he is such a good dad!!
Sunday we both spent time with our fathers and had a great day.

New Foods
Brighton likes to eat. A lot. If he is ready to eat he will let you know it. Unfortunately, he is allergic to milk and gets violently sick when he has anything with milk in it, so we have to be very careful what we feed him. For a long time he had only been eating baby food, as he had an issue with texture. It is very recent that he has started to eat real people food. This started when he got his 1st taste of BBQ. He LOVES BBQ and says "Pretty please!" when he wants more. Another new favorite is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (made with milkless bread!). He picked up his 1st sandwich and just ate it like he's been eating sandwiches all of his life! Quite funny.
In this picture he is eating BBQ. A true Southerner!

Saturday in Fort Mill
Last Saturday we went to Fort Mill for the day/night. We went to a graduation party for Dustin Yates. Rachel got to show off her grandson! Poor Donnie stayed home as he is recovering from back surgery. He is doing good though. That night Jason and I went to Mike Glacier's 30th birthday party. It was really fun. Got to see people that we had not seen in a while.

Annual Family Visit
Kelley, Duane, Gracie and Emory arrived Thursday night. Friday Kim and Abi joined us. We had a very fun visit as we always do. The kids stayed in the water almost the entire time. The adults got to catch up. It was a great time. We all hung out on the lake most of the time, but the girls went to ride go-carts on Monday for Abi's birthday.
A couple of sad things I must add. My grandmother usually attends these visits, and this year she just wasn't feeling up to it. We all missed her greatly and want her to feel better again soon.
Also, Sunday night some tornadoes blew through the area. Took out a bunch of trees in our friend Dianne's yard, my dad's office and worst of all, Lacey's house. Little Edie her kitten is missing. We are all hoping for a safe return.
Here are some pictures from the weekend.
