On 02-22-10 we were finally able to welcome to the world little Brighton Jax Flowe. He was born at 1:09 PM weighed 7 pounds and was 20 and a half inches long. Mother is doing well, and Daddy is so overjoyed! We are both just so in love with our beautiful baby boy!! It has been unbelievable. We are so happy that he is healthy and we love him soooo much. Sorry that it took me so long to blog his arrival, but it has been hard to sit down with the computer and stop looking at the perfect little precious baby boy long enough to. I hope that you can enjoy these pictures and we cannot wait until everyone gets to meet him!

Going Home Day

We  had a wonderful stay at CMC University. We stayed there for 3 nights. It was an amazing time. It was like a little vacation almost. Great time to bond with our new baby, learn quite a bit and get some rest. We were almost sad to leave. But we did. On Thursday around lunchtime we departed the hospital and headed for home. We will never forget those 3 1/2 days there though. It was a great time for our little family.

Home Life

We are home now. These are some pics of him in him mostly swaddled up. He loves to be swaddled and is at his happiest. 

More nursery pictures

We got the glider finished. The cushions have small blue dots on them but they do not show up in the picture. We also hung some shelves and pictures. Most importantly, the amazing artwork that Lacey did for us. Thank you so much!! Also, she painted the rocking horse. This horse was mine when I was a baby. He was plain brown and Lacey gave him a new look to match the rest of the decor! The book rack was of course done by my talented mother. It all came together so well and I could not be happier. Now all it needs is a little baby boy to occupy it. He will be here very soon. I imagine this will be the last post that I do before he arrives. We are so excited.  Check back soon!!

Featuring Little Baby Flowe...

These pictures were taken on 01-26-09 during our latest and probably last sonogram. It was quite exciting for us to see him and so clearly! The technition was so surprised as she said this late in the game (35 weeks) the pictures are not usually clear because of the lack of room the baby has, they are usually smooshed up and distorted looking. I think his nose and lips are pressed up against me making him a little smooshed, but over all these turned out good. That is his arm on the left side of his face. Jason is predicting that he will be a movie star. Just kidding, sort of! Please enjoy, until we can see the real deal.

Sunday shower in Fort Mill

We were blessed again with another beautiful shower hosted by Rachel at her church. So many friends and family members came out to celebrate! Thank you!! I have to say that now we are closer than ever to being ready to bring Baby home.

My Beautiful Black, White and Blue Baby Shower

I really do have the best friends and family ever!! Lacey, Alecia and Shayna hosted a BEAUTIFUL shower for me at Maddie's in Birkdale. My closest girls came out for it and it was a great time. I got some of the most personized gifts because everyone knows me so well!! Thank you to everyone who came and if you could not make it, at least enjoy the pictures!

Baby's Room that is fit for a Prince!

After having an empty room to stand in for months we have finally got an almost finished room! The walls have been painted, and crown molding put up, just waitng for us to put the furniture, bedding and personal touches in there. Our crib came last week. My mother and Jason did a great job painting the changing table/dresser, and Jason painted our glider. It took me so many searches to find all of the fabric that I wanted incorporated in the actual bedding, and it took the very talented Ginny Lunsford to bring it all together. She lovingly made the bedding for the crib that ties all of the colors and paint together. I could not be any happier. This room is fit for a Prince!! Thank you to Jason, Mom, Ginny,Lacey, and everyone who contributed personal touches to his room. It makes me so happy!!

Grandmother, Kim, and Abi's visit

What a fun filled and busy weekend. I have lots of pictures to post. I will be doing it a little at a time though. Grandmother, Kim, and Abi came to visit. We gathered at my house to see the new baby room, and then went out to a fun dinner, then of course had a wonderful time at the shower on Saturday (but those pics will come later).
