It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

We have been getting ready for Christmas. We put up our tree and decorated the house.
Almost finished shopping and wrapping! We took Brighton to see Santa for the 1st time. He did pretty good and it was so much fun! I love how we are forming our traditions!

Rock N Roll

Brighton refuses to crawl. He has instead, started rolling. If he wants to get somewhere, he will roll across the room until he gets to his desired destination. It is kind of entertaining. He also loves to bang on his drum and piano!

We are thankful for...Michael!

What a great Thanksgiving we had! We went to Ayden to Lacey, Mickey and Jameson's house. Mickey deep fried a turkey, and the girls cooked inside. Had a wonderful meal. That night, Lacey and Mickey left for the hospital. Lacey was being induced early Friday. We thought Friday was going to be a long day, but as it turned out, it wasn't so bad. Lacey had little Michael Spencer at 2:30 PM on Friday, November 26th. She was 8 LBs, and 3.5 ounces!!! This is the biggest baby anyone in our family has had, and seeing how tiny Lacey was during her pregnancy, this was a surprise to all!! Michael is absolutely perfect. I personally think she looks like Lacey, but everyone is free to form their own opinions. I am so excited that she is here and Lacey's family is complete! Jameson is a big sister, and Brighton is a big cousin!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to do a quick post to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Oh, and to tell you all that Brighton has officially spoken his 1st words! He waves and says "Bye Bye". Very cute. I will be meeting my new niece this week and am very excited about it!

Rachel's 60th Birthday Party

Somehow, by some miracle, a surprise 60th birthday party was able to be successfully pulled off for Rachel Helms. She deserved it! She was pretty surprised. As you can see from the pictures there was an Elvis theme as he is her favorite!

It was a great time. Happy birthday Rachel, we love you!!

November

It has been a while since I have posted. Sorry. Brighton is still as happy as he could possibly be. Jason and I feel so lucky every day to have such a happy little baby who is always laughing and smiling. Brighton has been waving to us and to himself. He eats 3 meals a day and likes everything that we give him. Jason thinks that the baby food meat is horrible and that feeding it to him is child abuse, but I think he has accepted that Brighton needs it in his diet and will now feed it to him, after protesting it at 1st! Brighton LOVES his bath time. That is usually daddy's job at night and they have so much fun together.

The holidays are upon us. We will be traveling to Ayden to stay with the Antley's for Thanksgiving. I will be posting VERY soon with news about the new addition to our family, as baby girl Antley will be born soon and we are all ready for her and so excited!!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Halloween!

I hope that everyone had a fun Halloween. We went to Ayden to visit the Antley's this weekend, and had a great time.

Lacey, Jameson, Brighton and I went shopping on Saturday while the guys watched football, and then they built us fires at night. It was finally fall-like weather.

We dressed the kids up like charactors from the Wizard of Oz. They were so cute. Cannot wait to go back. We will be going back at Thanksgiving, unless something happens to cause us to go earlier.... Lacey?

Fall

Fall is finally here! Sorry it has been a while since I have done an update. Since I last posted, Jason and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. 5 years, I cannot believe it! It reminded me that it has been a year since I have been doing this blog.

Jason and I have been busy with some minor projects around the house. Actually, let me clarify that. Jason has been doing the projects while Brighton and I watched! He built us a grilling patio outside. Yay!! Thank you Jason! Since this is Brighton's 1st Halloween it was a hard decision deciding what he should be. I wanted him to be a pea in a pod since I always call him my Sweetpea, but I decided that was to babyish. Then, Lacey found a Dorothy costume for Jameson, so we decided that Brighton can be the lion. We borrowed Rhett Johnson's adorable lion costume for the occasion. He was the original precious lion. Next weekend we will be going to Ayden to visit the Antley's. Jameson and Brighton will get to dress up and go Trick Or Treating together. We will take plenty of pictures and I will post them for all to see!

Jason and I have always enjoyed carving pumpkins every year since we have been together. There are two reasons we enjoy this. The project it's self, and the pumpkin seeds that we roast after we gut the pumpkins!! This year we were less creative with our carving design, but more creative in getting the most seeds out of our work!! Happy Halloween everyone!
