Our Baby Boy is 3!

This weekend, on Saturday we enjoyed one final day of beautiful weather on the lake with friends.

Sunday was Baylor's 3rd birthday. It is hard to believe. We took a chance on the weather and had a water slide party.

We only invited family and a few of his Denver friends.

It was such a nice day. We did a shrimp boil and then cake of course.
All of a sudden he is into Winnie The Pooh!

Happy birthday little Wrecking Ball! We love you, and celebrating you!

River-Charleston Trip

Mickey has been trying to talk us into doing this trip for years. I was terrified of it. It involved a lock (water elevator), being stuck on a boat, and not just stuck on a boat but being stuck on a boat in the OCEAN. Okay I can be scared of a lot of things but I have mad respect for the ocean and so all of that had me a little scared. Turned out to be a BLAST!!! Jason and I, Lacey, Mickey, Andrea and Chris drove to Santee SC on Friday and stayed over night in a hotel. Went out for some great times!!

Saturday we were up and headed to the Lake Marian  to put the boat in. The weather was gorgeous. I was so scared to be in the lock. I have heard some scary things before.  It we HUGE. We had to tie up with other boaters. The giant doors closed, we were lowered down and then in about 20 minutes the giant gates opened back up and let us out in the Cooper River!

We saw so many beautiful things. I have been on the water in Charleston plenty of times but this was a different kind of experience. I wish I had taken more pictures. Maybe next time. We eventually got into Charleston. Stopped for drinks and apps at Shem Creek before heading over to our hotel on the water. Great times with some great people. Coming back on Sunday, the weather was not ideal, but it could have been a lot worse! Cannot wait to do this again! Thanks to Gigi and Pop for keeping the kids!

1st Day of Kindergarten

This is Brighton meeting his teacher Mrs. Roper at orientation. He was so excited to start school. I packed his lunch the 1st day, but he quickly told me he would be buying food from the cafeteria. That is his favorite part!  I cannot wait until a couple of more weeks, when I can go have lunch with him and see what it is all about.

Meanwhile, Baylor had his 1st playdate with his friend from school John Chace.
So cute!

The boy's last day of the summer program at the preschool was last week. Sad as it was Brighton's last day there. He said his good byes...

We finally got Brighton's marching orders  school letter. His 1st day will be Monday, August 24th. His teacher is Mrs. Roper. I cannot tell if he is excited or not. He doesn't really talk about it.

'Brooks' birthday party

Summer days, drifting away...

Meanwhile things with Baylor's peanut study are going well! We are 99% sure that he is on peanut instead of placebo. Testing shows his allergy has gone down a little, and we have now graduated from going every 2 weeks to every 90 days! The worst is behind us!!

We just had back to back visits from wonderful family and friends. The Kisgens (minus Patrick) came for Unity Presbyterian VBS. The kids (who were of age) had a blast all week. We all enjoyed spending time with everyone. Dinners and slumber parties. Fun stuff!

You know! It was just THAT big of an  special occasion

Maybe next time Asher!!

After we said goodbye to the Kisgens we were joined by the Johnsons! Vera and Baylor are just soooo cute together! Had a great 1 and a half days on the lake while they were here. Alecia, Ashley, Justin and Damon joined us too.

Boatloads of fun!!!

July!

All of a sudden we are midway though July! This summer is flying. We have been working hard during the week and enjoying the lake on the weekends!
Celebrated the 4th with family and friends. Every chance we get we have been on the lake.

Brighton went to camp at the YMCA for a week. The focus was art but he did many other activities daily, such as swim and play sports and then typical camp activities. He enjoyed it soooo much.

Best part was Friday when I picked him up. The counselor who walked him to the car gave him the highest compliments. He said Brighton was the best camper all week and they never had ANY trouble with him. They went on and on. It was such a nice thing for a mother to hear! Wondering why he doesn't act this good for me at home?

Sorry I am not blogging. I am living and loving LKN 2015!!
