Summer Fun

We are splashing and sailing through summer. Lots of fun has been happening around Denver this year!

Stephanie, Cooper, Carter and Asher came for vacation Bible school. All of the cousins had such a fun week!!
The 4th of July was a long (but not long enough!) weekend of fun, food, family, friends and water!!
Aunt, Linda, Fred, Kim and Abi came for a visit the next weekend.

Brighton lost his other front tooth. I never knew a toothless child could be this cute!!
The rest of the time we have just been  hanging out.

We have lots of plans coming up!

We just returned from our Flowe Family Vacation to the beach. We normally have been to the beach a couple of times by now but we had to get finished with soccer and Soap Box Derby this year. Well worth the wait! We had a GREAT time, got lots of sun and ate some great seafood!

Now I suppose we will get busy with boating and lake fun!

Okay I am totally guilty of neglecting this blog again. I admit it. I do not have any intensions of giving it up, it is just that stuff keeps getting in the way! Soooo, in the past two months this is what we have been up to:
Brighton has followed in his Dad, and Uncles' family tradition of racing Soap Box Derby cars. This is a timeless sport that is really super cool! I like it because it is just something different! He did 3 races. Started out really questionable but by the last one he was doing AMAZING!! Steering great and even driving stratigically based on what his Dad and Grandad were telling him to do. We are really proud of his quick progress. He has been the youngest driver at most races and should really be on top of his game next year! He has a great car (due to his super talented mechanically inclined granddad)  his dedicated father AND we are super lucky to have such awesome, amazing sponser (!!!!).

The local Denver paper did a story on him and I think it is so cute! http://www.lakenormanpublications.com/denver_weekly/flowe-family-continues-tradition-of-soapbox-racing/article_71e517fc-30f8-11e7-a468-f3c5faeb65f6.html

Meanwhile, both kids have been doing soccer and Baylor is really really good! So proud!
Brighton has been continuing to lose teeth. It is almost hard to recognise him these days!
Wesley is doing well!
Sports are taking a lot of our weekend time, but we have been able to do some other fun things as well. Taylor had a super cute farm themed birthday party. Baylor really enjoyed the petting zoo!

as well as hanging out and having playdates around the house!!
Had a wonderful Mother's Day and I am so proud to be Mommy to these two handsome and SWEET boys!

We are gearing up for a HOT summer! We got the boat in the water and have gotten in a couple of leisurely rides. Now we are just counting down to school being out and vacation time!!!

Spring Sports

Last year we signed Baylor up for soccer but when it came time for practice he got shy and backed out. After being on the sidelines all last spring of Brighton's games and practices he was more than ready to play this year! So now they are both signed up. Baylor is a star! Scoring 4 goals in his 1st game. Brighton is not so bad himself. scoring 2 and being very speedy! Michael is again on his team so that makes it even more fun!!

Brighton received a 3rd Belt in Karate.

After a long absense from this blog, I am back! I must blame the problem on my phone/camera which was not allowing me to send pictures to my email to use on here. Anyways, lets see what we have been up to. Christmas was wonderful again this year. We are all so fortunate! Spent great time with family. The kids loved every second of it all!

Rang in 2017 at the Antley Oyster Roast. Fun fun times!

Had a couple of snow days, which Jason missed because he was on a work trip. We played and stayed warm inside as well!

We went to Warner Robbins GA to celebrate my grandmother's 91st birthday! Got to see all kinds of relatives. Aunts, uncles and cousins of my dad. So proud of the recovery my grandmother has made from her serious car accident last summer. Image may contain: 25 people, people smiling, people standing and indoor
Was planning a party for Brighton's 7th birthday but he chose instead to take a friend to the Great Wolf Lodge. Baylor's best bud John Chace shares a birthday with Brighton so we made it a group trip and it was so much fun!! The kids are already begging to go back but we will have to make that a very special occasional place!!

This was the school rock we painted for Brighton's birthday. It is supposed to be a karate theme.

Spring is right around the corner!!!
