Weekend

Here are some pics of Brighton at 6 months. Some were taken around the house and some were taken at Craig's place. He and Kelly had Jason, Rachel (GiGi) and I over for Jason's birthday dinner on Sunday night. We sat outside on his terrace and the weather was actually perfect! Tomorrow is Jason's actual birthday. Happy Birthday Babe!!

Tennessee Vacation

This year our summer vacation was spent in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge TN area. We stayed in a super nice log "cabin" up on top of a mountain. It was our 1st trip with Brighton. Needless to say the car was full! Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Vicki and Zach came for the weekend. It was so good to see them and for them to meet Brighton. We made the best of the opportunity and timing of this trip. My dad had tickets to the Bristol race, as it is a tradition for him and his son-in-laws to go to that, as well as Uncle Ronnie this year. They had a great time.

Let me just say that this particular area of TN has plenty to do. It is quite the tourist trap, with one attraction after the other. The people watching was plenty interesting too!! It will all make your head spin! We ate lots of good food, and did lots of walking, and shopping. The guys enjoyed the race, as well as some go-carting fun. Now we are home and back to real life. Summer is almost over :(

2 Posts in 1 Weekend!

Since we are actually home this weekend with no plans I guess that means that I take more pictures and actually have time for this blog! Since my blog yesterday, Brighton sat up and stayed up in the sitting position for a while. He was pretty excited. We have had a good weekend so far. This morning, the three of us went to the mall, then to Babies R Us, and some "window shopping". When we got home we played alot. Brighton was in a very happy mood. He loves to be on the floor with his toys, and Mommy and Daddy in sight, talking to him. Even Tux could not resist Brighton's good spirits and got up from his cat nap on the window sill to come and see what was going on. As a nice ending to the day Max and Connie paid us a visit.

Around the house

I do not have a whole lot to report this week, but I did take a few pictures so I thought I would share. Jason put Brighton's highchair together and we try a new food each week. Also, he is trying to sit up and is almost there. In no time at all he will be all over the place. Next week we are Tennessee bound. I am looking forward to a cooler climate. It will be our 1st trip with a baby, and as a family. Hello Dolly!

Seeing a bunch of friends!

Last weekend there was another party for Ashley and Justin. What a great oppertunity it was to not only shower the couple, but to see a bunch of friends who I have known for a long time, all in one place. It was a great time. I really enjoyed seeing everyone. Ashley and Justin are getting married next month. NEXT MONTH?? The time has flown!

Brighton updates

Brighton has been thriving right along these days for the most part. He has learned to roll over, and is quite proud of himself when he does so. We have been introducing foods but so far he has not cared to much for them. We will keep on trying. The sad news is that he got sick for the 1st time. Sunday and Monday he was throwing up and running a fever. The little guy was a good sport and tried to keep smiling even through feeling bad. I wish that I had taken a picture of him with a damp wash cloth across his forehead. He thought wearing it was so funny. I just felt to guilty to take pics of him while he was sick. These pictures are from the week before.
