Happy 3rd Birthday to Michael!

Michael is 3 today! Happy birthday little one!

Last weekend was busy and fun. We had an early Thanksgiving get together at Jason's Uncle James' house. Brighton had fun seeing some cousins and those who had not, got to meet Baylor.

Keeping up with Baylor there kept me busy so unfortunately I did not get any pictures. Jason took this one of Kelly, Taylor, Baylor and I.

After lunch we went to meet up for Michael's birthday celebrations. Lacey surprised her and her cousins with a trip to Build A Bear!! This was Brighton's 1st time and it was quite the experience!!

They all picked out an animal from the 2013 Christmas collection.

They were all so happy with their creations. We had a VERY personable staffer who made the whole experience even more special. After the "building" we all ate Oswald cake.
We ended the weekend with a lovely dinner at my parents' church.

Even though this is a short week, it is already feeling long. Looking forward to Turkey Day though !! This year we are going to Rachel and Donnie's.

This was the scene in Brighton's room this morning...
It looked to me like some kind of Santa massacre. I asked Brighton what was going on. Jason nicely said that they "were sleeping". ha
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Busy days

Jason suggested that we get our Christmas decor out on Saturday. Hmmm, a little early for me, but it makes him and Brighton so happy, so...okay. The next few weekends will be very busy so it was do it now or way later. All of our bins and crap  decor got hauled up from the basement. Because of Baylor's curiosity and mobility as of late, we decided to keep it very minimal this year. It will be hard enough to keep his hands off the tree alone, much less other nick nacks along the way. Such as this, my memory table. It is up, but Baylor is ALL OVER IT!
Baylor sat in his high chair eating breakfast, wondering what all of the commotion was about. Just watching and waiting.

Whats going on???
When we put him down for his morning nap, it was a race to get the tree up and decorated before he woke up. We did, and got everything else cleaned up so we could video his reaction to the tree. Sorry, I do not have the video to post here, but his reaction was super cute!

Super cute until the next couple of hours of "No No's!" and "Uh uh uh's" !!
Here is Brighton being possessive of his "Ho Hos".
"They are Mine!"
We definitely have to keep a closer eye on Baylor with the tree up. I have these horrible imagines of him pulling it down! Hopefully he will lose interest soon. Other than seeing the kid's excitement, the best part of the day/night was enjoying the lit tree with a fire and champs that evening.
On Monday night we celebrated Gigi's birthday.
This weekend we will celebrate Michael's birthday and then get together with some of Jason's dad's family. Busy times but nice to see so much family!

And round and round we go!

Baylor has taken his 1st steps. 1st one that I saw was on Friday. More yesterday evening. About 2 at a time. Then today while he was in the nursery while we were watching Brighton and Michael on stage, they told me that he took several steps! Go Baylor!!

"Five Little Turkeys Are We"

Brighton's 1st performance on stage! The preschool had their Thanksgiving celebration early this year. They invited us to come watch the kids sing and then enjoy a catered Thanksgiving meal with them. It was really cute.

This was the only picture I was able to get of Michael as she was walking in. The kids were on opposite sides of the stage :(
At home after the performance and yum lunch!

November Already???

Goodness. Just like that, summer is behind us and all of the sudden it is the 1st week of November!
Pretty soon this:

will be replaced by Christmas decor!! Trying to get myself pumped for it. Not there yet.

Not much is going on with us right now. Baylor is on the verge of walking. He almost took steps today. They were like quick running steps, but really he was dashing to reach the next piece of furniture in arms length!

Brighton went to Jameson's fall festival with Poppi and Aunt Lacey. They enterered the hoola hoop competition. He didn't last very long and said "hoolla hooping is hard". Heck yeah it is!

"The night Max wore his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind

and another..."
Ever since Brighton was a baby I have dreamed of  when he would be the right age to dress up as Max, from "Where The Wild Things Are" which was one of my top 3 (if not #1) favorite children's books of all time. Luckily, Brighton loves this book too and was excited about the idea. Unfortunately, this night was very hectic so I did not take all of the photo opportunities that I once had in mind. Such as, pictures of "Max" chasing Wesley (who looks just like the dog in the book), or sitting in his little boat... I know, I suck. BUT we did have a fun night and have a few cute pictures to share.
So Max, being King of All The Wild Things needed an accomplice. Enter Baylor, the Wild Thing!!

They were both so cute!! Baylor was okay about his head piece. He didn't like it much at 1st but would wear it for little amounts of time, especially after we showed him his reflection in a mirror!
We had a very nice night for Trick Or Treating as it was not cold like last year. Poppi made us another hayride. Always the best way to go!! It was a fun night for all of us!! Here are my two along with the Candy Corn Witch and her Little Kitty.

Batman's House - Brighton wasn't scared this year!

Another Wild Thing!!!
We racked up on the candy and Jason was way to excited about that! Baylor was a trooper and hung in there, staying up way past his bed time without complaining (Which is way better than being sent to bed without any supper. If that means nothing to you, then READ THE BOOK!!).
