Our Baby Boy is 3!

This weekend, on Saturday we enjoyed one final day of beautiful weather on the lake with friends.

Sunday was Baylor's 3rd birthday. It is hard to believe. We took a chance on the weather and had a water slide party.

We only invited family and a few of his Denver friends.

It was such a nice day. We did a shrimp boil and then cake of course.
All of a sudden he is into Winnie The Pooh!

Happy birthday little Wrecking Ball! We love you, and celebrating you!

River-Charleston Trip

Mickey has been trying to talk us into doing this trip for years. I was terrified of it. It involved a lock (water elevator), being stuck on a boat, and not just stuck on a boat but being stuck on a boat in the OCEAN. Okay I can be scared of a lot of things but I have mad respect for the ocean and so all of that had me a little scared. Turned out to be a BLAST!!! Jason and I, Lacey, Mickey, Andrea and Chris drove to Santee SC on Friday and stayed over night in a hotel. Went out for some great times!!

Saturday we were up and headed to the Lake Marian  to put the boat in. The weather was gorgeous. I was so scared to be in the lock. I have heard some scary things before.  It we HUGE. We had to tie up with other boaters. The giant doors closed, we were lowered down and then in about 20 minutes the giant gates opened back up and let us out in the Cooper River!

We saw so many beautiful things. I have been on the water in Charleston plenty of times but this was a different kind of experience. I wish I had taken more pictures. Maybe next time. We eventually got into Charleston. Stopped for drinks and apps at Shem Creek before heading over to our hotel on the water. Great times with some great people. Coming back on Sunday, the weather was not ideal, but it could have been a lot worse! Cannot wait to do this again! Thanks to Gigi and Pop for keeping the kids!

1st Day of Kindergarten

This is Brighton meeting his teacher Mrs. Roper at orientation. He was so excited to start school. I packed his lunch the 1st day, but he quickly told me he would be buying food from the cafeteria. That is his favorite part!  I cannot wait until a couple of more weeks, when I can go have lunch with him and see what it is all about.

Meanwhile, Baylor had his 1st playdate with his friend from school John Chace.
So cute!
