Snow days!!

On Tuesday it snowed for about 6-7 hours. A pretty, steady steam of it. It only accumulated up to about 2 inches but that was enough. Brighton did not make a snowman this year but he had a blast zipping around on his sled!

Okay snow...CHECK! Now can we move onto spring??

Last weekend we all went to the mall to get out of the house. We let Baylor play in the play area for kids for the 1st time. It's funny the things you will let your 2nd child do! I would have been to freaked out about germs when Brighton was this age... but anyway. They had a fun time and it was sooooo cute to see Baylor running around to the different stations. He was so happy to have the freedom to do it! 

The weekend ended with Jason and I having a much needed date day/night. We got to see a movie and have a nice dinner. Wonderful weekend. Now it is almost midweek and I am actually watching it snow right now! I wonder if it will be enough for the boys to play in? 

Winter...

I think it is way to soon to have the Winter Blah's (Not yet calling them the Blues), but I think I might. I have not had a reason to post as we have not really done anything to mention. Trying to stay warm! Trying to kick the homemade Chex Mix addiction that I developed over the holidays (yes I really just blogged about that). Trying to tell myself that my gym (AKA, basement) will be warmer and more inviting soon. Trying to be more optimistic about my winter-clothes-uniform.  

Okay, I'll shut up. This just means I will be EXTRA happy when Spring comes. I actually wouldn't mind a couple of snow days for the boys to enjoy in-between! 

Weekend Fun

Last weekend was lots of fun for the boys.

On Saturday, Gigi and Pop took Jason and Brighton to the Monster Truck Jam in Charlotte.

This was Brighton's 2nd monster truck event, so he is a very lucky little boy! Monster truck toys have for the time being, taken over his Batman obsession!

On Sunday Jason went to the Panthers Play-Off game with my dad, Mickey and some friends. They had a fun time but we were all disappointed that we lost to the 49ers. We were all happy that the Panthers made it this far though!  
Now we are back into full swing of pre-school and work after holidays. Sort of.

2014 Happy New Year!!

2014 is here and with it came the cold!! Brrr, we are currently experiencing temperatures that are not what we are used to. The lake was actually frozen this morning. Ice Skating anyone?
On New Year's Eve we decided that we couldn't NOT do anything, so we went over to the Antley's. The kids did an early sparkling  apple cider toast.

The adults stayed up for the real thing. Happy New Year!!
New Year's Day I had the Antley's and Baygent's over to eat traditional New Year's Day Dinner. Hopefully, here's to a new year of Health, good Luck and Money!!
