Alecia and Jake's Wedding

Last weekend was Alecia and Jake's wedding. The bride was stunning!! The weather, not so much. Everything was planned for an outdoor, springtime ceremony over looking the lake. Enter MONSOON weather, all weekend long.
The wedding turned out to be quite lovely and everything was okay despite the rain! It was a really fun affair. The bride and her flowers were absolutely gorgeous! I only wish I had more pictures that had turned out.

Pre Easter Festivities

We had a lovely weekend. Saturday we went to an early Easter egg hunt in my parent's neighborhood. We had beautiful weather for it!!
The Easter Bunny was there!! Baylor was terrified of him. He would tune up even if he spotted him all the way across the lawn.
Brighton had no problem!
We got the Bunny to sneak in behind the kids for a picture without Baylor knowing!
Looks like he's getting the feeling that something's up. Maybe someone was watching him that wasn't supposed to be!! Hmmm...Suspicious indeed!
Baylor picked up one egg during the hunt. He seemed quite content with it.

Later on, they dyed eggs with Aunt Lacey per tradition and had little egg hunts of their own.
On Sunday, after a nice Palm Sunday church service, Jason and I took our two to Chuck E. Cheese for a little Flowe family Fun. Thy had a great time!

Glad that we got to do fun things with the kids this weekend. Next weekend is Alecia's wedding and so Jason and I will be gone a lot. Looking forward to the wedding and Easter and FINALLY being able to wear white!!
I have finished my 45 day boot camp. It was tough as hell, the hardest physical thing I have ever done. Really challenging to push myself though. I found that I am capable of doing a lot of things I thought I couldn't do as well as some weak areas that need work! It was a great way to get me out of my winter laziness and has motivated me to get my workouts going again!! Sorry, I don't normally talk about fitness on here, but since I have been totally engulfed in this for the last month and a half, I had to at least mention it. Jason was a trooper as it involved him being Mr. mom almost every week night at home and I did miss that time with the kids. Had to do it when I could though as my plate is pretty full.
Now that warm weather is here we are starting to plan trips and fun summer activities!!  Good moods all around!

Just a little check in! We are having a BEAUTIFUL week here in NC. So nice. Brighton has been helping my dad plant his summer garden!
For some reason I cannot seem to capture a picture of Baylor smiling lately.
The weekend is nearly upon us! We have lots of plans!!

Weekend with Ups & Downs...

Our weekend started off wonderful and productive.
Saturday the 4 of us did a Wal-Mart run as well as  Lowe's. We then all went to have a treat at Cherry Berry. Brighton got a little to excited about the self dispensers! Baylor didn't know what to think about his sorbet. Perhaps the coldness of it was to shocking? He did eat some of it, but mostly reached and cried out to try some of mine. Which was off limits due to his milk allergy. I am happy to say that Brighton is now able to handle eating dairy ice cream and yogurt!!  I hope the same for Baylor, soon enough.

Back at home, the boys and I played on the back porch. Jason surprised me by de-winterizing our fountain, as well as hanging the new shade for the bonus/guest room!
Baylor got really happy when he saw the fountain! So cute.
As for the guest room shade, whoever sleeps in there will be sleeping good as it is dark and cave-like  when the shade is pulled down. As long as they have ear plugs and can drown out the loud kids downstairs!
The turning point in our weekend was Jason and I both waking up early Sunday morning with food poisoning. Thank goodness, I didn't give in to Brighton's request for steak a week earlier or else he would have gotten it too!  NO FUN. The week has got to get better...

It has been so nice here this week. Almost to hot to soon, but I am not complaining. Yesterday when I pulled in from work, I was greeted by this on my street!
Last weekend while I was off party planning and painting, Jason took the kids to visit his mom and they went to the bouncy place near her house. Brighton has been plenty of times, but I do believe that this was Baylor's 1st time participating.
In further Springtime news, Jason's dad is taking Brighton to something special on Fridays. Introduction to soccer. No real games or anything, just teaching them beginner skills. Here he is at home practicing!
