We had a good weekend. We were going to take B for a hair trim on Sunday but this was upsetting a few family members so we decided to wait. I really do appreciate all of you who participated in the poll. It is still going so please feel free to vote if you haven't. I have us packed and ready to go on our trip. A group of 11 friends and family are going to the Dominican Republic for a few days this week. I am nervous and sad and excited all at the same time. We have never left Brighton for this long, so that will be sad. We are looking forward to the trip and seeing good people! Our group is coming from all different locations. NC, SC, GA, and WA. It will be interesting to see how it all comes together. Sunny weather, blue water, and palm trees, HERE WE COME!

The house. They have poured the foundation and then will start the framing. Hopefully when we get back, we will be surprised by how much has been done :) Rainy week though...

Brighton in the Lifeguard Chair

Brighton loves to go outside and play in the lifeguard chair on the beach. Poppi takes him out there almost every afternoon.It brings him so much joy! So cute. If you haven't already PLEASE vote up at the top left on whether or not I should cut his hair. I see I have 9 blog visitors :)

Kelly & Craig's Bachelore & Bachelorette Parties

Saturday Craig and his guys went to Columbia for the St. Patrick's day festivities at 5 Points to celebrate him.

Kelly and our group stayed local and went out on the town in Charlotte. It was a great time!

Grey Gardens

For those of you who are fans of Grey Gardens this is for you. If you are not, then just enjoy the story of how Jameson's playmate found her.

Sunday was such a nice day. It was warm, and I went over to sit outside at Lacey's new house. Jameson was playing on her swing set. We all kept hearing this cat meowing but we could not find it. It continued for a couple of hours. Finally this little malnourished kitten appeared in the yard. She was pathetic and skinny and HUNGRY. Lacey fed her and she ate it right up! Then she just wanted to play.

She chases after Jameson wherever she goes. They named her Little Edie after the late/great Edie Beale. The kitten and Jameson together are adorable.

Michael

Baby Michael is growing up so fast! Here are some recent pictures of her. This was her 1st time in the bumbo seat. She did just fine as she has been trying to sit up for a while now. After Lacey spent so much time with the camcorder, ready to capture her 1st roll over, Michael did it for Daddy last weekend while Lacey was in another room!

Kelly's Shower

On Saturday Rachel and I threw Kelly a bridal shower. We did a tropical theme. Kelly and Craig are going to Costa Rica on their honeymoon. It turned out cute and Kelly got a lot of very nice things!

Had a fun time on Friday night with Kelly, Craig, Lacey, Mickey and Kelly's sister Courtney and her boyfriend Bill. We went back to the Wine Cottage. We are really digging this place. Fun, fun times!

Bright Blessings Auction

Last weekend David and Alan(our friends and builders), as well as their wives Erin and Jackie invited us to a charity auction for Bright Blessings. This charity provides birthday parties for homeless children. It was at the Speedway Club and was lots of fun!

The House Has Been Built!

April Fools! Ha this is not ours of course.I only wish it could be done that quickly!
Good news for the Antley's!! After a whirl wind decision to move to Denver NC, and accept a job in Columbia, Mickey was offered another office. Yes folks, I know it is hard to keep up with. Mickey will now run the Charlotte, NC Maxim office. This is the best news they could possibly ask for! No more commuting for him. They are all moved in. This is their new beautiful house.

Lot Progress

More pictures of dirt for your viewing pleasure!! This shows how the lot has been cleared, and then dug out for the basement. Our lot was sloped, so we knew we had to pick out a plan with a basement. The plan we have chosen will have a main level with our living area, kitchen, dining room, office, bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The lower level will have some space for a play room, and possibly a media room, and a 4th bedroom and bath for all of my guests that I anticipate will be visiting us!

Brighton's 1st Birthday Party

We had Brighton's birthday party at the clubhouse in my mom's neighborhood. Since we had such a nice turnout, it was tight, but worked well. It also helped that the weather was beautiful that day, allowing some of the children to play outside! Brighton was a little uncertain of his cake, but he sure did make a mess! It was a great time. I thank everyone who was able to attend to help us celebrate!

Turning 1

Here are some updated pictures around the week that Brighton turned one. In one of these pics Brighton is sitting with my former tricycle that I had when I was a baby. I don't know how old it actually is, as it was given to me second hand, but my dad had it refinished for Brighton. It looks great. Before it was covered with rust.
