Fall Fun

Last week at the preschool they invited the parents to come for hayrides and pumpkin patch with the littles. It's always fun to see them in their school environment.  Baylor was unsure about the hayride, but enjoyed picking out his pumpkin!

So was Brighton and then we got to stay and have lunch with him. 

The weekend brought us nice sunny weather. We enjoyed a day at Red Wolf Farm. Had a great time as usual.

The slide was a new addition this year.

 Later we carved pumpkins at Lacey and Mickey's house. I have to give Jason all the credit for this years jackolantern of Brighton's choice!

Belated Anniversary Trip Get Away

Jason and I decided to take our anniversary trip a couple of weeks late this year so that we could enjoy the foliage of the NC mountains. We decided last year that a weekend away, just the two of us every year was much needed to reconnect as a couple instead of just parents, and get some sleep!!
We went to Sapphire Valley NC. The weather was perfect and our resort was pretty amazing. We may even bring the kids back here one day!

We did some mild hiking, enjoyed the grounds of Sapphire Valley, walked the town of Highlands, and ate pretty well! Oh and did I mention SLEEP? Sleeping in two mornings in a row was pure bliss. 

The kiddos were happy as they could be with Abuelo and Abuela. They got to go to a local fair and the bouncy place!  

What a great weekend. I am already looking forward to next year!! 

Last weekend Brighton went to a fall festival with Gigi and Pop. The weather was nice for them and Brighton brought home a perfect pumpkin!

Jason aerated and little man Baylor and I went to browse a new antique mall and then had lunch at good ol Steak N Shake. 

Family trip to Lowes Sunday and got a few things done around the house. 
Nice little low key weekend.  

I am so behind. I have had a sinus infection for the past 14 days and have not been feeling like myself so I am going to blame it on that. Linda and Jim Croke came the weekend before last. The Bears were playing the Panthers so I got to have lunch with the ladies on Saturday, and tailgate with the whole crew on Sunday.

It was a beautiful day in Charlotte. We had a big spread and the Crokes had several friends who joined us. Lots of food and fun! It was a little challenging tailgating with children, but they were pretty happy playing on the corn hole boards and dancing to totally inappropriate music coming from the party bus next to us on the lot. The guys actually went to the game and it was a win for the Panthers!! Always fun to see Jim and Linda.

We got this new media table last weekend and silly Baylor decided to give us some help with accessorizing it!

Yesterday Jason and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. Love this man and our family so much! Looking forward to that milestone next year! happy 9 years Jason! I love you so much!
We were able to get out for a dinner minus children. So nice! We have bigger plans in a couple of weeks to really celebrate it. 

Fall Fun

So we are jumping right in here. With Denver Days always being the last week of September it gets us right in the mood! On the evening we went, the weather was perfect. A little cool. Pop joined us this year. Had a great time!

Of course this time of year also means lots of football. My dad took Lacey and I to the 1st home game of the year much to his son in laws' dismay!
